MapQuest, a leading location based services company, today announced that it has hired TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles, CA to be its creative advertising agency of record. Known for its branding and advertising work, most recently for Apple iTunes and iPod, TBWA\Chiat\Day will work with MapQuest to create campaigns that highlight the helpfulness, reliability, and ease of use of the MapQuest.com online service. In addition, work will focus on helping to extend the brand by promoting MapQuest's location search and mobile capabilities. Campaigns will launch in the first half of 2005.
