Vindigo Studios Delivers MapQuest's Leading Maps and Directions to AT&T Wireless mMode(TM) Subscribers

March 22, 2004

At CTIA, Vindigo Studios, one of the best-known developers and publishers of consumer applications for mobile devices, and AT&T Wireless today announced the launch of MapQuest(R) Mobile, powered by Vindigo. This premium service, which offers MapQuest maps and directions, is now available to AT&T Wireless mMode(TM) subscribers.

"MapQuest Mobile is a welcomed addition to our portfolio of travel services on mMode because, as our customers might say, they'd be literally lost without it," said Sam Hall, vice president of mMode services at AT&T Wireless. "With mMode and MapQuest, customers can empty their cluttered glove boxes, full of outdated maps, and rely on a pocket-sized phone that's completely portable."

MapQuest Mobile, powered by Vindigo, offers coast-to-coast coverage from the leading online map and directions provider. Mobile users can quickly find their way with full-color, interactive maps that pan and zoom. Step-by-step driving directions are available and displayed in an easy-to-read format. Once downloaded, directions can be conveniently saved on the phone. Customers can also save favorites and recent addresses and calculate reverse directions.

"We are pleased to extend MapQuest's convenience and ease of use to AT&T Wireless mMode subscribers," said Tommy McGloin Senior Vice President and General Manager of MapQuest. "With just a few clicks, mMode subscribers can find where they need to go and get on with their mobile lifestyle."

AT&T Wireless customers with mMode-capable phones can access MapQuest Mobile for an additional $3.99 per month. A 3-day free trial is also available. Additional information about mMode can be found at www.attwireless.com/mmode.

Vindigo Studios develops mobile software to entertain and inform wireless subscribers. Also available through AT&T Wireless' mMode is Vindigo, the popular city guide that offers extensive entertainment options, including restaurant reviews, shopping, bars, museums and everyday services, such as locations of the closest ATMs, and gas stations.
