Under the agreement, Gannett has licensed MapQuest Enterprise v2.0, a set of advanced, customizable, enterprise mapping tools from MapQuest Business Solutions for integration within the community calendar platform of Gannett Newspapers websites, including such leading newspapers as The Indianapolis Star, The Journal News of Westchester, NY, and The Courier Journal of Louisville, KY. The license agreement enables Gannett's individual newspapers to easily expand the mapping and routing functionality of their online offerings, without having to purchase or build an expensive custom mapping solution.
