MapQuest Local Provides Relevant Localized Information and an Open Platform for Third-Party Content Providers to Reach Millions of Consumers

MapQuest today announced the launch of MapQuest Local, a unique set of local features that have been integrated into the MapQuest.com website. From one convenient location, MapQuest Local provides users with locally-relevant content, including news, events and videos for the city or destination of their choice. MapQuest Local can be accessed by clicking on the “Local” button on the MapQuest.com website (http://www.mapquest.com) or by going directly to http://local.mapquest.com.

A convenient dashboard allows users to personalize their MapQuest Local experience by specifying their location and selecting the content widgets that are displayed each time they visit the site.
